Free English Bulldog Puppy
It’s almost impossible to obtain a quality free English Bulldog puppy, because any well bred dog of this breed is usually very expensive. True breeders who care about the improvement of the breed in general and about the potential of their dogs in particular spend much on their puppies. The unique appearance of the Bulldog causes many problems for the dogs and their breeders. Bulldog dams often need artificial insemination, because quality males lack drive. Pregnant females and puppies need special care. Cesarean section is normally necessary for Bulldog dams, because the puppies are born with a very large head. Some dams refuse to feed the puppies and they should be hand-fed by the breeder.
Difficulties in producing puppies and high popularity of the breed are the main reasons for very high prices for quality English Bulldog puppies. For some people, it’s a matter of prestige to buy an expensive puppy. Such owners are usually unknowledgeable and cannot train the puppy and take good care of it, if it becomes ill. Bulldogs are often stubborn and independent by nature. If not trained since the early age, they become difficult to live with and their owners try to get rid of them. They surrender the puppy into a rescue where it has a chance of finding new owners. But even in a rescue, it’s impossible to get a free English Bulldog puppy, because rescues ask a donation fee for their dogs.
If a purebred dog becomes stray, it soon gets into a shelter. Finding a homeless dog in a shelter is almost the only chance of getting a free English Bulldog puppy, but it’s next to impossible, because if the dog got lost, the owners will find it and take it back. If the owners didn’t take the dog from a shelter, a purebred dog is taken by a local breed rescue that cares for all homeless dogs of this breed that need help.
If a dog owner gets into a difficult situation and cannot keep a dog any longer, he/she normally looks for a new family for the pet. If no one wants to take a Bulldog puppy, the dog is surrendered to the rescue. Keeping in contact with Bulldog owners may increase the chances of getting a free English Bulldog puppy.
